KOL HALAYLA

Kol Halayla is the premier Jewish a cappella group at Rutgers University - New Brunswick. Kol Halayla is Hebrew for "voice of the night," but here at Rutgers, the home of the Scarlet Knights, we are the Voice of the Knight.  Kol Halayla was founded in 1995, making it the oldest co-ed a cappella group on the Rutgers campus and one of the oldest collegiate Jewish a cappella groups nationwide. Kol Halayla has a diverse repertoire featuring a perfect mix of traditional Jewish, Israeli, and secular music, making it perfect for any and every audience. The group has produced five full-length albums and, in addition to performing all over the East Coast, performs a major concert at Rutgers each semester and hosts the yearly Shabbat A Cappella event featuring Jewish a cappella groups from all over North America.
